The Food and Prop Stylist

Before pursuing a career in food styling, Chiqui Lloren immersed herself in advertising photography. She has a strong background in art and visual communications, and a passion for capturing the perfect image on film with her attention to detail, color, contrast, and balance. Photography became her main focus and never turned back.

While working in the studios, she came upon the challenging but creative world of food styling and decided that this was the perfect job for her talents. It combined her experience in photography and skills in design and composition. She extended her knowledge on different cuisines and professional cooking by taking up a 2-year culinary course at the Center for Culinary Arts, Manila. She enjoys the many creative aspects of food styling and thinks up her own concepts and prop styling for shoots. Hard work and constantly learning her craft landed her opportunities to style for magazines, restaurants, food companies, ad agencies and television.
